Jeremy C. Noble ( St. Paul, MN ) I spent months looking at all the machines to cut different reels before buying one for my new home. I wish I had a reel mower, and not environmental reasons, but because of the noise and hassle of a gas mower was not something I wanted to do. I settled on this model because of comments saying that the bearings were Nice, and that was more robust than the Scott with his gear in nylon. Since I had done my research, I hoped to have a machine that would cut the grass, leave some points, and do not touch the grass / leaves. I was prepared for this. Surprisingly, this thing really shears off about half of the dandelions that I met, shears off neatly broadleaf weeds, and cut the leaves that are too lazy to rake. Our lawn is terribly unstable, and this engine does not miss a beat. Even with the wheels bouncing over ruts and bumps, the blades to maintain the buzz.
The noise? Yeah, it's noisy. Screeching metal on metal. I wish it were quieter, but I can deal with it.

Pamela J. Howell ( sumter, SC ) I bought this mower to cut a small strip of grass in my garden surrounded the house for my dog lit. I thought this would be perfect to keep the grass cut, because it is difficult to get the mower riding and ot the small courtyard. This cutter works great on grass, but here in SC, we have what they call street grass that grows wild in our yards and uncut .. It 'like a weed resistant high .. So thin, this cutter will not work for me .. But when I read the reveiw on this cutter I thought you said it would cut all the grass ... Hmmmm .. no! So now is parked in a shed my neighbors just to get him out of my yard ..
