Today I tried using my mower as a yard vacuum to pick up leaves. The system worked fine but the limiting factor is the bag capacity. Unless you have a small yard or only a few leaves the bag fills quickly and necessitates constant emptying. This would also be a problem with lots of high grass. Otherwise it works fine. The bag is easy to mount, remove, and empty.

I had a little fear about this after reading the other reviews, but this has worked great! Yes, it requires frequent emptying but it does it's job and is a good accessory. A little patience goes a long way. Glad I got it, smooth operation.

The support rod I received is 6" too long for the bag, or else the bag I received is 6" too short for the rod. The box may have been opened and re-taped. I had to tie the bag to the rod with a piece of wire. I won't be using the bag that often so it's not that big a deal, but it's disappointing. Other than that the bag works fine. As others have said, it's a bit smaller than most grass bags.

this was a much needed item for me. however, there are some problems. first (no particular order of importance....they all are), the way it hangs from the bar, causes it to hit a lot of things while trying to mow. next, the way the bag bends right near the hard plastic connection piece, it causes the bag to clog quickly, so you have to empty it many times, even for a yard like mine which isn't huge. the fact that the cover has to be lifted to attach the bag, then there is no way for it to go down when the bag is on, doesn't help the matter, either. I needed a small mower, which is why I got this one, but I think they could have done a better design for a bag you have to buy extra. a good thing is that you know once it's clogged, as it starts to leave a trail of grass that doesn't go in the bag. Don't wait for the bag itself to feel full because it will never happen, and grass cuttings will be all over the lawn.

This bag works just as advertised. It does the job. Even though the picture shows "Black & Decker" on the side of the bag, the one I got did not have that.
Big Deal! The writing does not catch the grass. The only problem I have had was getting the support rod into the mower the first time. It took a bit of pushing to get all the grass in the hole out of the way, but after that it works great. It's a bit of a pain getting the mower into tight places with the bag in place but that's what you get with a side bag. No surprise. It takes a bit longer to cut the grass using the bag - time to empty the bag - but it has helped keep the "lumps" off the lawn and that is why I bought it in the first place.

I recommend this for people that have this mower and want to "catch" the grass as they are mowing. Without the bag you will get "clumps" of cut grass as you go along. You can either leave them there or spread them out with a rake to make the lawn look better to act as mulch.Black & Decker BA-075 Side Bag Assembly If you take the time to rake out the cuttings, that is more work (and maybe time) than emptying the bag.
