R. D. Hudson ( Sheridan, Wyoming ) There are several deficiencies in the design and operation of the MTD PRO 21-inch mower. First, the front wheel height adjustment procedure is awkward, necessitating removal of a nut and bolt on each wheel in order to raise or lower the cutting deck. Second, the bag permits some grass clippings to be expelled from around the mounting bracket. Third, the bag itself is awkward to remove and reinstall. Otherwise, the mower operates satisfactorily. Finally, I do have a pet peeve with this and other power mowers in general. Cleaning the deck is a challenge and many manufacturers strongly recommend against using a garden hose to clean the unit, including the deck. Some mowers do have a deck cleaning port but not this particular model. Why manufacturers continue to make power mowers that cannot be cleaned with a garden hose defies logic.
