T. Bosco I think that most people that write reviews have had a negative experience and need to vent... While the rest of us that are happy with a product, just keep smiling and don't look back.
We purchased the mower last summer and think it is fantastic. Up and down the hills in our yard (1/2 acre) with no problems. Would highly recommend it.

Mike Polizzi ( San Diego, CA ) I don't know why people are complaining about such trivial things. This lawnmower is the first generation electric battery powered lawnmower. I'm glad they saved the money on wheels (Wah! they're plastic) and included 2 batteries, an external charger or an option top plug it in directly to the mower, a bag, a bypass clipping shooter (or the option to mulch), and it drives itself around! This thing's great. I have 3 grassy lawns (small-medium) and it is still fully charged when I finish. If you want function, buy this thing ($299 at HD), if you want a pretty Black and Decker with aluminum wheels and a non swappable battery-do it. Black and Decker makes a great toaster, I'm sure their lawnmower is grand.

M. Salari ( Toronto, CAN ) I agree with the other review that the chassis and axles feel cheap due to plastic. Wheels feel like they are going to fly off.
First problem I had was the batteries would not charge more than 1 hr (supposed to be 24hr first time) so only got 5 minutes of use. Tried several times, left it overnight, etc but still no better. Not a huge deal, I understand things break and I would have just asked for a new battery or charger. BUT there is a major problem with the safety of this product. The blade engage lever that you squeeze and can release to kill the motor DOES NOT KILL the motor. The design of the lever string is in-line with the hinge so when you release the handle, it stays in position - does not flip up to turn off the motor. I wasn't willing to compromise safety just for a battery operated mower. A real shame, because I wanted to give this product a fair chance and move away from gas. Amazon support was FANTASTIC when I returned the product.

David A. Sager ( Knoxville Tn. ) Recently purchased model sp21HB. Mower was defective and Amazon sent me another. It was also defective. So I ordered the Solaris Epic which I so far like very much. It may have taken 30 days to get a great mower but I'm satisfied with both Soralis and Amazon.
